PARA-TEC 518X is a solvent based water displacing rust preventative. This product leaves a thin waxy film that is easily removed by alkaline or solvent base cleaners. PARA-TEC 518X is designed for long term indoor storage of ferrous and non ferrous metals, up to 18 months; and short term covered outdoor storage. PARA-TEC 518X should be considered for your more difficult protection needs.

APPLICATION

PARA-TEC 518X may be applied by brush, roller, spray, dip tank, slush or flow coat. If water displacement is needed, dipping is recommended.

DISPOSABILITY

Handle as you would for any petroleum based products. Spills can be cleaned up with any common oil absorbent.

STORAGE AND HANDLING

Use at room temperature. If frozen, allow to thaw completely prior to use. Do not expose to extreme high temperature due to possible drum rupture. Do not pressurize drum or reuse empty container.
